Crazy Cindy Sheehan's Appearances in May, 2006
source
May was a busy month for Crazy Cindy Sheehan. Her travels took her from Toronto, ON, Canada to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
In the US, she flittered from Washington, DC to San Francisco, California. There were 15 events in all, hosted by groups
ranging from the Australian Islamic Friendship Association to People's Revolutionary Action Group.
In Australia, she played the role of a gracious guest by calling Prime Minister John Howard (and American President George
Bush and English Prime Minister Tony Blair) an "Illegal Combatant" and announced WWII was not a "good war". In Canada, she
demanded that the government grant sanctuary to American deserters. She also urged Canadians who oppose their country's role
in Afghanistan to camp out at the Prime Minister's residence.
Back home in her beloved homeland, Cindy found time to make a fool of herself in front of the White House fence (wearing her son's fatigue jacket) and still
squeeze in trips to "fly-over country" including Kalamazoo, Michigan and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Some have suggested that
the former Mrs. Sheehan has run out of steam, but considering that she appeared at a different event every 48 hours, on average,
she clearly has plenty of "steam" and was just flying under the radar while she builds her network of crazed America-haters.
She was so busy, in fact, that she couldn't be bothered to show up when her son, Casey, finally got a headstone. Her most
touching comments were made in an e-mail sent from Australia..."I didn't want to put a tombstone on my son's grave," and "It
is important for the rest of Casey's family to have one."
