Congressman Jim McDermott is a friend of Cindy's. Remember him? No? He was the guy who in 1996, gave the New York Times an illegaly intercepted audio recording of a phone call between Newt Gingrich, Congressman John Boehner, and others. Since he didn't seem to understand the law, in March 2006, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. explained it to him by upholding a fine against him of $700,000.

On May 6, 2006, McDermott promoted and attended a fundraiser at Prag House in Seattle, WA. Prag House (aka People's Revolutionary Action Group) describes itself as follows:

"Currently we practice a moderate form of income sharing in which members pay a portion of their income to the community in addition to payments for base dues and food. We seek to live a more environmentally sustainable and communitarian lifestyle. Title to our property is held by the Evergreen Land Trust."

The beneficiary of the fundraiser was Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, of whom McDermott says "Now she faces a tough challenger in her run for reelection this fall." It must be really, really "tough" if she has to go all the way to Seattle to raise funds. Her district includes ultra-liberal and ultra-wealthy Marin and Sonoma counties.

And the star of the evening, introduced by McDermott was Cindy Sheehan. But why would Cindy interrupt her busy schedule to help out Woolsey? Because she owed Woolsey a BIG favor. It was Lynn Woolsey who gave her ticket to President Bush's State of the Union Address to Crazy Cindy. We all know what happened next.

Lets play "connect-the-dots"...McDermott-to-Sheehan-to-Woolsey! You give me a ticket to Bush's speech and in return, I'll help raise money to get re-elected.
