I am humbled that people take a moment from their lives to send along a kind word. At the suggestion of one of my readers, since I post the hate mail I get, I shall also post the fan mail. My sincere thanks to all who write to me.

I did a search on Cindy this morning and yours was one of the first 10 listed-since I absolutely detest her actions I do pay attention to her antics which in my opinion borderline on her being a traitor to the United States of america. All this to say-have you noticed her latest interviews on CNN and with Shawn Hannity? I believe she has had a facelift or at least some work done on her face? Perhaps in prep for her upcoming bid for Senator. Do you have any knowledge of this-or has anybody else mentioned this to you?

I love, love, LOVE your website. I think Cindy is doing such a disrespect to her son's memory.

I have emailed her in the past and have heated email arguments with her (suppose) sister.

My name is Matthew Carley, I am a student at Valparaiso University in Indiana, and I just stumbled upon your website about Cindy Sheehan. I respect your right to have such a site, just as you must respect my right to write this e-mail.

I think that mocking this wonderful woman and mother is absolutely the wrong thing to do. She's lost a child, something I hope that I never, ever, have to experience, and you call her crazy for being upset and demanding something be done to prevent this from happening even more. At this point a majority of the American people also think that our soldiers need to be brought home, and yet this president sends more troops to die in the bloody quagmire that is Iraq.

I'm sure that you will mock me, call me crazy, a wacko liberal, whatever, but I do not care. I get called far worse things on a daily basis by everyone here at my school. You are more than welcome to respond to me as well, I would enjoy having an intelligent debate with you, because honestly you seem to be an intelligent man, even though I likely disagree with many of your political opinions.

I apologize for taking so long to respond.

You absolutely have the right to write and express your opinions. I think you will be happier, in the long run, if you based your opinions on facts, rather than emotion. If you read this site carefully, I think you will realize that Crazy Cindy is not a "wonderful woman", but rather an angry, raving war profiteer. She shamelessly used her status as a greiving mother to garner a platform to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars. Just as a single example; she used money from her son's death benefits to fraudulently by land in Crawford (using a front-man who falsely claimed to be a Katrina refugee), and then sold it for a 60+% profit. That is morally wrong, plain and simple.

I agree with you that it was a mistake to invade Iraq. It was done for unclear reasons, without an understanding of the local poitical dynamics, and with far too few troops. I would love to see all our troops come home tomorrow, if not today. That having been said, I also see that we cannot just pull up our tent-stakes and walk away. The only thing that kept the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites from slaughtering each other, was Saddam's iron fist in a blood-soaked glove. Like the man who rides the tiger, dismounting will be very tricky. If we run away, we could easily see Iran essentially annexing Iraq, directly or by proxy. The end result might well involve Iran giving part of the oil-rich Kurdish territories in the North to Turkey (who would surely slaughter and subjigate the hapless Kurds) and keeping the rest of Iran's oil fields in the South and East for itself. They would probably throw Western Iraq (where there is little oil but a largely Sunni populace) to Syria (primarily Sunni), as a scrap. At that point Iran might as well grab tiny Kuwait. Saudi Arabia, which is currently #1 in oil reserves, would then fall to second place and Russia (currently #2) would fall to third. The new combination of SouthWestern Iraq, Iran, and Kuwait would then be #1 and control the largest single block of the world's oil reserves. http://wolf.readinglitho.co.uk/mainpages/oilworldmap.html

That situation is unacceptable.

We need to get out of Iraq, but how we do it will require careful planning and execution.

I have not mocked or ridiculed you because you seem bright and sincere. I'm sorry your schoolmates treat you poorly, but youth, lacking the compassion that is learned through experience, is often cruel. This too shall pass. Hang in there, buddy.

Australia really is one of the least patriotic countries in the world. If someone says something distasteful about our country we don't really care. We are not all that motivated to inspire, we dont have many religious sects and we dont seem to be very enthusiastic about much at all. We sent our troops to the US so that our prime minister could kiss the ass of your president, and although nobody wants them there, they are still there.

Cindy Sheehan, who we know over here as a 'peace-mom' (which, apart from sounding absolutely ridiculous makes most everyday Australians want to vomit at the tackiness of it) seems to actually inspire some people much to the surprise of Australians. As an australia, i can honestly say that we hate her. We have no regard or respect for her 'media whore' ways, and, although sympathetic about her loss, cannot see how what she is doing is actually swaying the government. She basically just looks like a tool.

I got many a laugh out of it, and have a suggestion. As many who participate in discussions on internet bbs where the topic of Cindy's antics are not uncommon, I recently looked and was unable to find a chronological listing of Cindy's arrest record. Her arrest list keeps growing and as of September of 07, there was even a bench warrant issued for her but alas, she never seems to get actually locked up! Just between you and me, I can't bring myself to track her arrests when the courts refuse to lock her up. Thanks again for the n1ce words.

I totally agree with your views on Cindy. It burns me up to see a "supporting" parent loose all regard for her son's choice in life. He chose to join the Army and support America after we were attacked and all she can do is use this as TV time for her. You know if her son was alive she would never be doing this, she would be one of the troops greatest supporters. She'll do anything for her 15min. She should be ashamed of herself! As a young married woman with the greatest parents in the world, I know my parents will always support me as they have for the past 21 years. I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time. Cindy just became unhinged. As she grieved, evil people used her to attack first the war, then our President and eventually our Country. They stroked her ego and showered her with money. Greed and misery make a potent cocktail. I would pity her if she wasn't doing so much harm.

You're right. The Libs just don't get it. The "front" in this war is everywhere. I sometimes listen to old-time radio (on CDs), mostly comedies from the 40's. It's amazing the difference in how the entertainment and news industries reacted back then. Now they might as well be on Al-Jeezera's payroll! I saw a headline the other day on abcnews.com that said "85 dead in Afgan violence." Halfway through the article I realized that it was 75 Taliban and 10 sympathizers that had been killed in a battle with coalition troops. THAT'S how the news media is playing it this time around.
