Mayor Kathy Harrison gave Crazy Cindy Sheehan the Key to the City and some flowers. Sheehan was introduced as a Nobel Peace Prize
nominee, though that cannot be confirmed. Nobel Prize winners for 2006 will be announced in October.
This town of approx. 2,278 is an exeptionally blue dot in a very red state. There isn't a county within 200
miles that voted for Kerry in 2004. Essentially it is the Berkeley of the South, only it's smaller, poorer,
less educated. Just the kind of crowd Cindy likes.
