Cindy Sheehan Arrested and Dragged at UN
source
Just before being cuffed and arrested at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, police opted to drag her
away from the doors. My guess is that the local cops had been warned not to try to carry her by the Secret
Service. When she was arrested in front of the White House, the Secret Service officers decided to carry
the six-foot-tall, 180-pound Sheehan to the paddy wagon. One would hope that they sent out the word that
this definitely qualified as "heavy lifting". Also, during the White House arrest, Cindy beamed and smiled
as she was being carted away, which really detracted from the drama of the moment. By the time this picture
was taken, Cindy had learned that she needed to look as though she was being abused in order to convey the
impression of victimhood. It's just good theater.
Here's the payoff: the day of the arrest, her book was languishing at #112,394 on Amazon, four months after its release, despite
a 30% price cut. The next day, March 7, 2006, it had jumped to #43,448!
