Is Cindy Sheehan Being Dumped?

It's a question worth asking. She used to be a frequent poster (child) on the Huffington Post. Now, while she is listed on the Blogger's Index, Cindy seems to be the only one listed (perhaps I missed something) who shows no bio or contact info. Moreover, she hasn't posted there since January of 2006. I'd like to think that the crew there decided to hold themselves to a new, higher standard and then realized the Crazy Cindy just wasn't tall enough to go on this ride.

I was wrong. I went over to the Huffington Post and did a thorough perusal. As usual, I left feeling in need of a shower and lots of soap. Their standards have not changed.

Perhaps, they realized that Cindy has nothing new to say. It's just the same litany over and over again:

• Her son was born on May 29, the same date as JFK. He died on April 4, the same day as Martin Luther King. She'll tell you it's no coincidence, just ask her.
• President George Bush lied.
• President George Bush murdered her son.
• President George Bush and Prime Ministers John Howard and Tony Blair are illegal combatants.
• Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is just another Bush clone source.
• President George Bush is a bigger Terrorist than Bin Laden.
• It's President George Bush's fault that she has hemorroids and the tire on her car went flat.
• The GWOT is all about oil and Halliburton.
• The Iraqi the resistance fighters who killed Casey Sheehan are "freedom fighters" source.
• She left the Roman Catholic Church permanently after the 2004 elections, when many Roman Catholic Bishops and priests encouraged their flocks to vote for George W. Bush because he was "pro-life." source
• Global warming is going to kill us all.

Also, Cindy has just published a second wretched tome. Oddly enough, it wasn't published by the left-wing Koa Books in Hawaii. This on is from City Lights in San Francisco. Didn't Koa think there'd be any profit in it? Or have they also decided that she's just too goofy for words?

Then there's her husband, Patrick, who divorced her, and his whole side of the family has publicly disowned her.

Side note: Cindy Sheehan hasn't been a practising Catholic for a long time.

"I had almost left the church before Casey was killed," she says. "I was a good Catholic. I was a Catholic youth minister. I tried to get my kids to realise it's not all about dogma; it's about what's in your heart.

I never agreed with some things about the church, about their rather overstated devotion to Mary. And the confession thing, I never understood that.

I started to wake up. I thought, why did I ever join this church? So hierarchical, so misogynistic. What the heck was I thinking?"
